Every dawn, our minds come alive, orchestrating a symphony of thoughts, worries, and emotions. Sometimes, these melodies become overwhelming, casting shadows over our inner peace.

During my tumultuous journey of divorce, amidst the swirling chaos, trying to understand why my husband was leaving me for someone else, I discovered a beautiful secret, a safe harbor in the tempest – Purge Writing. This transformative technique, introduced to the world by the inspiring Julia Cameron, author of “The Artist’s Way,” became a soft pillow on which I could lay my mental burdens.

  • Let it Flow: Pour out every fleeting thought, worry, and dream onto paper. Your journal cradles every word without judgment.
  • Let it Go: Seal your journal or, if you feel bold, release the written page into the universe, honoring the art of letting go.

We’ve all been there – the heart-pounding, fire-breathing dragon of anger emerging from within, tempted to unleash its wrath upon our surroundings and ourselves. There’s a potent energy within anger, a force that, if channeled consciously, becomes a remarkable tool for deep self-exploration and even creation of something new! 

For me, during times when this fire raged pumped through my body all I wanted to burn everything down. Destroy my life around me with my words, my hands and my actions. 

Purge writing became not a quencher of the fire, but a shaper of it, molding it into a beacon of understanding and self-compassion.

Anger is often a mask, a fierce guardian protecting our deepest hurts and fears.
