Hey lovely souls, I’m Brittany, and today let’s simmer in a heartfelt chat about mental and emotional wellness, the tricky questions we often find ourselves tangled in, and how my journey unwrapped a life-altering lesson for me.
Peering into my past, I was shrouded in a cavernous depth of despair, its walls slick with anxiety and shame, and its air thick with self-disgust and loathing. Even amid a therapist’s guidance and a cascade of support, my self-harming habits clasped firmly onto me, unwilling to let go.
My heart ached with the repetitive echo of “Why?” Why me? Why this struggle? Why this pain? Why can’t I get better? What is wrong with me?
These questions were a relentless tide, washing over me, tethering me to a cycle of suffering and self-doubt, which, in the abyss of depression and anxiety, felt almost comforting in its familiarity.
Then, in a moment of as sobs echoed in my office, I surrendered. I stopped asking why me and asked for help from a Higher Power. That is when I heard, “The tools for your healing, beautiful soul, have always been within you. You have been given everything you need.”
This divine nudge unfolded a realization: My fixation on “Why?” and on the how much I was suffering was a misstep, a dance with despair that shadowed the true path toward healing and joy.
The transformation began when my questions shifted shape, adopting a form that invited solutions and self-empowerment:
How can I pivot towards feeling slightly better in this moment?
What can I embrace now to step closer to joy?
How can I plant seeds of satisfaction and watch them bloom into heartfelt, healing light?
And, dearest ones, the answers were astonishingly simple, always looping back to one uplifting word: Joy.
In this gentle upheaval, “The 90 Day Joy Journey” took root, for 90 days I asked myself this question, “What can I do today, right now to feel a little bit better?” This curiosity of how to heal myself with practices that enhanced my happiness blossomed into a sacred program. A program and practice that I have the honor of sharing with clients whose souls are like yours. It’s a space where we delve into our own universes, exploring what caresses joy into our lives, what elevates our very being into a realm of love, gratitude, and tranquil abundance.
Together, in this woven tapestry of our journey, we embark on a mission to identify those blissful, joy-creating practices and envelop them into our everyday, or summon them into our moments of need, bathing our spirits in their nurturing, healing light.
